Splinter Cell: Blacklist puts you back in the boots of veteran stealth operative Sam Fisher, this time heading up an elite team, known as the Fourth Echelon Unit, as they hunt for terrorists and attempt to save the world.

The Splinter Cell series has always been known for stealthy action and after Sam Fisher's last outing in Splinter Cell: Conviction, our hero is back in the folds of the government and working to keep the world free of danger.

The titular Blacklist is a series of world changing acts of terrorism planned around the globe that Sam and his Fourth Echelon Unit have to disrupt whilst attempting to uncover who is behind these dastardly deeds. As with all the games in the series the player takes control of Sam Fisher and uses his special blend of stealth and gadgetry to foil the enemy.

This time around Sam and his team are working out of their mobile base, The Paladin. The Paladin is a cargo plane that the team use to jet around the world to all whole range of exotic locales that require some swift, stealthy justice.

One of the major new additions to the series that Blacklists adds is a completely overhauled multiplayer mode. This time you can take control of either the government forces or the terrorists and battle against friends or in public matches online to either complete a set of evil objectives as the terrorists, or foil their attempts as the government forces. It's an engaging new addition that gives players the chance to have a go at being the baddies for once. The balance has been expertly handled and both sides feel like distinct factions with their own set of unique abilities.

Whether you're new to the series or a returning fan you'll find a lot to love in Blacklist. With a lengthy and well written campaign as well as thrill a minute multiplayer mode, Splinter Cell: Blacklist will keep you coming back for more hour after hour.
